Hiking around the island of Store Tamsøya, Finnmark, north of Norway, I was mesmerized by small details everywhere. And this is just a sliver of the hundreds of photos I took. More to come!
Skarsvåg is the northern-most fishing village in continental Europe (yes, we live on an island but it’s still considered the top of Europe.) While taking photos yesterday, I had associates with a vacation to Crete. But the arctic temperatures are just a tad cooler at 71 degrees north.
Peace for the restless soul. Conversations with oneself. The heartbeat of nature, drumming in sync with your own. Reminders of how minuscule we are and how immense the world is. Reassurance there is an abundance of beauty in the world.
The north of Norway is a spectacular place to visit. The breathtaking landscapes, rich culture and ancient, to recent history, are waiting to be discovered.
