From a Sip of the Sun to a Taste of Snow

My last post was on a lovely day with temperatures around 20 C.  Yesterday we had temperatures a little above freezing and the day included sun, snow, rain, clear skies and low visibility.  This is a glimpse of what June 16, 2014 looked like at 71 degrees north:

I saw that it snowed in Tromsø yesterday! Great photos. What gorgeous light.

  2. I kind of liked those late winter days up in Massachusetts when we’d have a dusting of snow (like yours) and then the sun came out. There was such a twinkly quality to it all! Beautiful pics, all.
You really ARE blessed to live in such extraordinary surroundings.

    Hello Erica,
We visited you in June 16 last year and bought some items from your gift shop. Lovely to meet you. The weather was indeed mixed that day. We had been up to the Nordkapp earlier. What an incredible place, yes a bit touristy now but I’m glad we went. The experience (and the wind!) blew us away. It still brings tears to my eyes thinking about it. We were on a cruise on the Thomson Spirit from the UK and on the way back had two days of force eight seas. Lets hope June is quieter this year. By the way the Nordkapp webcam appears to be out, not sure why.
    Regards,
    Dave and Judith.
