Everyday life in the North Cape & North of Norway
Amazing adventures waiting to be discovered
Right outside of my studio, Once Upon a Dream, this is what I get to look at: Spring in the North Cape… between the snow storms 😉 A little slice of Heaven.
I´d say: “Lucky bastard!” But then I look out of my window and see all the blooming fruit-trees, the sun is shining down from a blue sky, and those +18° Celsius don´t bother me too much either… 😉 So I just say: “What a wonderful picture of a lovely place you posted!!!” 🙂
Sounds like you have your own slice of heaven where you live! 18 plus sounds pretty good, and believe me, when we still have snow in May, I’ll be dreaming of sun and fruit trees! 🙂
I understand. But nevertheless this beautiful snow-landscape is really awesome!
It is a beautiful part of the world. Thanks for taking time to stop back by 🙂
How big is nordkap?
The town we live in, Honningsvåg, has around 2,500 people. Nordkapp, the county we live in, has a around 3,500 in total.
Aha. It´s not so small, after all. 🙂 Looks nice. Much tourists?
The North Cape plateau has between 250,000 to 300,000 tourists each year, and a large percentage of them stop in our town on the way there.
Yes. It is somewhere I which to go someday. My mother and gradparents where there with car and trailer (husvagn) when when was a kid. Must been in the 60´s or 70´s so I think it always have been a popular place, right?
how pretty!
Thank you 🙂
I looked on the webcam this morning and saw the beautiful bright landscape and sun shining and the DARK clouds in another direction and knew that the snow storm had just swept through. Beautiful!
Yes, the storms have been blowing through quite a bit now, leaving new blankets of snow each time. It’s refreshing.
There’s been quite a bit more snow since our visit in February, I think. Beautiful scenery, as always!
Yes, we’ve been finally getting snow the past week and it brightens up the landscape quite a bit. Normally, March and April are the months with the most snow, so we’ll see if it continues.
Vilken utsikt du har !! … Så otroligt vackert … // Maria 🙂
Ja, jeg er heldig! 🙂
The light seems to be so clear like the air up there is. Very good. Ha en kjempeflott dag! 🙂
Takk. God helg 🙂
I’d never get any work done … unless you count gaping out the window. Then I’d be an expert.
Thankfully, as an artist, it helps to be surrounded by inspiration. 🙂
That is quite a view! So lovely to see your world all lit up again, Erica.
: )
It is wonderful to have hours and hours of daylight again. Are you getting warmer days in Canada?
