About ekhaugli

I'm Erica from America living at the top of the world - North Cape, Norway. I run my own gallery, Once Upon a Dream Gallery and Gift Shop, nestled in the picturesque fishing town, Honningsvåg. In 2014 I started and environmental art project, One Step at a Time, concentrating on removing trash from or arctic shoreline.

Hvilket flott bilde. Naturen er utrolig oppfinsom. Ha en fin fin dag!

  3. I sadly actually collect snow domes – the rule is they have to be tacky and you must have actually been there – these would be too good for my collection. Beautiful🙂

Thank you Pat. I had also never seen these ice-encased shrubs. A couple of years ago, the entire coastline was covered in ice, like a gigantic ice sculpture. I’ll have to see if I can reblog that post. It was amazing!

    Beautiful and fanciful and majical.

  9. ekhaugli says:

Not really an ice storm, but constant winds over several days blowing water up from the lake, gradually building up a layer of ice. When there’s an ice storm, the objects look a little more rough. And it isn’t everyday we have things like this. The weather changes to quickly here, due to the gulf stream. The temperature bounces between plus and minus 0 C.
